Full text not available from this archive. AbstractThis paper presents a system architecture to manage the production programming in a Ceramic Tile factory. The proposed architecture is based on the multi-agent system paradigm since it provides a natural way to solve problems in manufacturing industry domains. The production programming problem is considered as one of the main critical issues in a Ceramic Tile Company because obtaining an agile and reactive production planning and scheduling system is essential in manufacturing.
